Seth Pinsky
EVP, RXR Realty

Seth Pinsky is an Executive Vice President at RXR Realty, where he is leading RXR’s efforts to invest in “emerging opportunities” in the New York region. He focuses on areas with significant growth potential, particularly in the Outer Boroughs and suburban downtowns.
Prior to RXR, Pinsky was Director of Mayor Bloomberg’s Special Initiative for Rebuilding and Resiliency, which developed a $20 billion plan to protect the City from climate change impacts. Pinsky also served at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he was President from 2008 to 2013.
While at NYCEDC, Pinsky was lead negotiator for projects such as Yankee Stadium, Citifield, the World Trade Center, and the acquisition of Hunters Point South in Queens. Other initiatives advanced under Pinsky’s leadership were developments in Willets Point, Coney Island, Homeport in Staten Island, Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx, and the Alexandria Center for Life Sciences. Under Pinsky, NYCEDC also managed the construction of the High Line, launched the East River Ferry and announced plans for the world’s largest observation wheel in Staten Island.
In the area of economic modernization, under Pinsky, NYCEDC launched business incubators across the City and oversaw the international Applied Sciences NYC competition, which will result in a new Carnegie-Mellon program in the Navy Yard, a significant expansion of Columbia’s engineering school, and the creation of a new engineering institute in Downtown Brooklyn led by NYU. It will also result in a $2 billion engineering campus on Roosevelt Island launched by Cornell and the Technion of Israel.

Anthony Rinaldi
Managing Principal, Saxum Real Estate

Anthony Rinaldi, is the Founder & Managing Principal of Saxum, he oversees all aspects of the firm’s operations, including investment strategy, acquisitions, capital raising, and the execution of the firm’s portfolio. Since launching Saxum, Anthony has led the company through significant growth, to be one of the few vertically integrated, Tri-State focused private equity firms. Sasha Bernier

Sasha Bernier is a Senior Vice-President and Investment Committee member of Cheltenham Investments, a single family office focused on investing in both debt and equity primarily in real estate opportunities and lower middle market companies. Mr. Bernier formerly served as a Vice President of Revere Capital, a real estate debt fund with the responsibility for underwriting and structuring new investment opportunities in the real estate debt space. Alfonso Costa Jr.
Deputy Chief of Staff to the Secretary,U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

Alfonso Costa Jr. currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff to Secretary Ben Carson at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Prior to joining HUD, Alfonso served as the Director of Policy and Social Capital for the U.S.A. First PAC (political action committee) founded by Dr. Carson, an analyst for a private real estate investment & development firm, as well as a TFA (Teach For America) corps member in Brooklyn, New York. Alfonso earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School (’18), a M.Sc. in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford (’12), and a B.A. in Political Science with Distinction from Yale University (’11).

Demetrios Yatrakis
Principal, KPMG US

Demetrios is a Tax principal in KPMG’s New York Real Estate practice. He has more than 10 years of diversified tax and financial consulting experience with real estate and private equity clients.

Demetrios was an attorney adviser in Washington, DC at the IRS Office of Chief Counsel (Passthroughs and Special Industries). While at the IRS, he was primarily responsible for guidance involving partnerships, S corporations, and trusts. Demetrios was involved in numerous guidance projects and was a principal author of proposed regulations relating to partnership equity for services.

Currently, Demetrios advises asset managers, private equity funds, and real estate investors including opportunistic funds, infrastructure funds, private REITs, and real estate owner operators/developers.

Bryan Woo

Bryan Woo is an Executive Vice President at Youngwoo & Associates (YWA) a real estate development company based in New York and leads the company’s acquisition strategy. Karen F. Turk.

Karen Turk is a partner in the firm’s Tax group. Ms. Turk’s practice focuses on the tax aspects of structuring commercial transactions, including real estate and venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and structures to mitigate unrelated business taxable income for tax-exempt and pension investors. Ms. Turk has extensive experience in structuring collective investment vehicles with tax-exempt, domestic and non-US investors, and she routinely advises clients in connection with the formation and operation of investment funds, public and private REITs, and complex joint ventures.
